  CCW Annual Meeting

  Featuring Associate Justice Daniel Kolkey (retired)

One week after the General Election, Capital Conservative Women will hold their own election at the CCW Annual Meeting. Members eligible to vote received an email with a slate of candidates to consider as well as information on the opportunity to run for one of the elected offices. We will kick off our meeting with a presentation by esteemed Attorney and former Associate Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Daniel M. Kolkey. Among other current topics, he will discuss why “Calls for Withdrawing Support for the Iran War are Irresponsible”.

Justice Kolkey, in addition to his distinguished service on the bench, is a retired partner at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He has a long list of leadership roles and accomplishments, including being the founding chair and chair emeritus of the board of directors for California Arbitration; President Emeritus of the California Supreme Court Historical Society; former legal affairs secretary & counsel to California Governor Pete Wilson; and in 2023, was the recipient of the Taube Family Freedom Award presented by the Pacific Research Institute. He has a wealth of knowledge on many topics, and we are fortunate to have him as our featured speaker.
